Beta Sigma Psi started as a collegiate Lutheran group aspiring for a higher purpose on campus. Their Pastor, Rev. Stiegemeyer understood their need, and saw the unity Greek life gave its members both during and after college. By 1919 he had formed the Lutheran Illini League, a group that eventually evolved into the Concordia Club in 1921, which ultimately formed Beta Sigma Psi on April 17th 1925.
Beta Sigma Psi is dedicated to growing leaders in the Christian community and supporting the Lutheran faith. We ensure that college men across the nation are able to continue to grow throughout their college career and later lives to become scholastically successful, spiritually strong, and socially excellent. Men that join Beta Sig will have opportunities for real leadership positions and shape the future of the fraternity while building a network of friends and future colleagues.
