About Our Philanthropy
Delta Tau Delta’s philanthropy is the IU Circle of Life Powder Puff Tournament. In this tournament sororities buy in to a bracket and compete against each other. All of the profits are put towards either cancer research or scholarships funds.
Last Year's Philanthropy
Last year Delts hosted its twelfth annual Powder-Puff Tournament to raise money for cancer research. Each team pledges $85 to enter the tournament. This totals to about $2,500 went directly to the IU Circle of Life.
Delts also recently started a new philanthropy called, 'In an Instant'. Attendees pay for admission and participate in a variety of games, prizes, and food. A mock drunk driving simulation was set up to spread awareness of the dangers of drunk driving.
The IU Circle of Life is a not-for-profit philanthropy that was organized and is run by students. The money raised by the organization goes to both cancer research and scholarships for cancer survivors. The organization also has a 5K and several other events to help raise more money for the funds.
